European champions Italy defeated Belgium 2-1 emerg third in the tournament.
Mbappe netted with 10 minutes remaining as France were again forced to fight back as they did during the semi-finals against Belgium.

There were few chances in a very cagey final in Milan but the match burst into life shortly after the hour mark.

Moments after France hit the woodwork, Mikel Oyarzabal fired Spain ahead immediately from a counter attack, but their lead lasted for about two  two minutes or less before a powerful finish from Karim Benzema within the 66th minute levelled the score.

“This the only piece of silverware I’ve ever won with France, so I’m very proud and delighted,” said Benzema, who only recently returned to the France squad after a five-year absence.
“I don’t think I’ve ever talked bad about referees … I’ve got nothing to mention,” Spain coach Luis Enrique said.

“I focus on trying to create my teams play the most effective way and accepting wins and losses.”

Meanwhile, European champion Italy defeated Belgium 2-1 to emerge at the third place.
